Newly renovated Downtown Cowtown at the Isis Theater announces its first live family-friendly event
(Fort Worth, TX, May 11, 2021) — Downtown Cowtown at the Isis Theater is thrilled to finally announce its official opening with the first live performance in the revived space. The historic venue will open its doors to renewed life on Memorial Weekend.
The Isis theater, which first opened in 1915, has sat vacant in the Fort Worth Stockyards since 1988. Now opening as Downtown Cowtown at the Isis Theater, the newly renovated venue preserves the original theater’s rich history and welcomes audiences to discover its unique character and historical eminence. The new Downtown Cowtown will meet the Fort Worth Stockyards with authenticity while providing something special for everyone.
“The COVID-19 pandemic forced entertainment venues everywhere to shut down. As concerns begin to subside, people are eager to get out,” says founder Jeffrey Smith. “We feel fortunate to have this opportunity to open at what feels like the right time to give the community a chance to enjoy public outings. We expect to continuously provide patrons with quality entertainment, a unique and engaging environment, and a connection to the rich heritage of Fort Worth.”
Guests can look forward to a wide variety of family-friendly entertainment, with classic western movies by day, and live performances of all types by night. Tickets for all scheduled live events are available now and can be purchased online through www.downtowncowtown.com.
Current Covid safety measures:
● Temperature checks will be taken at point of entry.
● Masks are suggested for moving about the theater but may be removed once seated.
● Hand sanitizer will be provided in multiple locations.
