German Maifest

Crystal Springs Hideaway is bringing back a German tradition celebrated by Fort Worthians dating back to 1882.
The laid-back Texas beer and wine garden located in the River District featuring 25+ draft beers is the perfect venue to celebrate Fort Worth’s German roots.
Maifest pronounced “My-Fest” in German is free and will run for three days, May 29-31, featuring German Polka Party Bands. The Dogensteins will play on Friday night and Alpenmusikanten is slated for Saturday. Both have played the popular Fort Worth Oktoberfest stage.
Special Bratwurst and Pretzel menu items will be featured all weekend along with $5 Paulaner and Spaten draft biers. Paulaner and Spaten are among the original seven breweries in Munich.
In addition to enjoying brats and bier, attendees can join in multiple stein hoisting contests throughout the weekend. Plus, everyone that wears their German dirndl or lederhosen will get a free 3-day ticket to Fort Worth Oktoberfest, set for Sept. 24-26 at Trinity Park.
