His love for recording began in 2013 when his band from the University of North Texas experienced January Sound in Dallas. From that point on\, Mark knew his career path had moved from musician to engineer. By the end of the next year\, he had earned his degree in Advanced Audio Recording from the Recording\, Radio and Film Connection after spending many hours at January Sound with the legendary Rick Rooney. \nMark remains plugged into the world of live music\, notably as audio engineer for the Live at the Omni series\, the Printed Threads Showroom Sounds series\, shows at local venues as well as touring with The Toadies. \nFor 2023 and 2024\, the Fort Worth Weekly recognized Blackstone for music production and Mark for audio engineer.
