DESCRIPTION:Tulips FTW is excited to host Monster Rally with RUMTUM on May 28th\, 2026 at your local independent venue! \nDoors 7 pm II Concert 8 pm \n \nTed Feighan has never been interested in staying in one lane for too long — even if that means forging a new lane of his own. When the producer\, multi-instrumentalist\, and visual artist better known as Monster Rally began work on his tenth full-length record Echoes of the Emerald Sands\, out Spring 2026 via Flowering Jungle / SoundOn\, he gave himself a straightforward set of criteria: Make something unlike anything he’d made before. For someone with tastes and an artistic history as eclectic as Feighan’s\, that’s easier said than done. \nWith Echoes of the Emerald Sands\, Feighan decided to recruit a whole fleet of artists and industry friends to sing over his recordings. The list of collaborators includes TV Girl\, Jordana\, Toledo\, Mei Semones\, X-Cetra\, Leisure\, Sessa\, Nella\, Miles Michaud (Allah-Las)\, Benét\, Jordann\, Munya\, and more. “After I get vocals back from an artist\, the track takes on a whole new life and I get into it all over again\,” Feighan says. With Echoes of the Emerald Sands\, he also ditched the tropical\, sample-based plunderphonics that had defined his work since Monster Rally’s 2010 inception\, instead recording everything from scratch at his Cleveland home studio. \n“This record is important to me mostly because I think I’ve proven to myself that I can create a body of work that I’m proud of without using samples or doing things in the ways I have done them in the past. I wasn’t sure that I was going to be able to do it and I had a lot of self doubt\, but ultimately it’s been a lesson in pushing through my own discomfort to find new ways of working and a different mindset. I think Echoes of the Emerald Sands shows a different side of me as an artist.” \nThe album isn’t a total left turn; Feighan’s Latin inspirations still poke through on moments like the serene “Blue Bunny\,” and his love of hip-hop remains evident through the boom-bap drums of “Sock Hop.” But here\, Feighan also incorporates various vintage guitars\, a Mellotron\, and a collection of Latin hand percussion instruments — just to name a few — resulting in some of the liveliest\, most vivid music in Monster Rally history. “Before\, I think I was ‘making beats\,’ and with this album\, I’m writing songs\,” Feighan explains. “I was really worried about it sounding too different from past albums and even if I’d be able to do it at all. It’s definitely been challenging but I feel really proud of this project.” \nBefore Feighan began his Monster Rally project\, he spent his teen and early adult years performing in various bands\, eventually culminating into a successful stint as bassist for the Myspace-era screamo band Driver Side Impact. Around that time\, Feighan also started collecting vinyl\, and he found himself particularly drawn to cover art that felt warm and peaceful. Perhaps\, Feighan recalls\, his attraction to those beachy sounds was a source of escape from the brutal winters of his native Ohio\, or from the incessant anxiety he felt while on the road — the demands of touring with a cast of bandmates and crew members had quickly grown taxing. And so when a disillusioned Feighan left Driver Side Impact\, he stepped away with a sonic treasure trove that would lay the groundwork for his future musical endeavors. Referring back to his lifelong love for hip-hop and the producers famed for their sample-based beats\, Feighan picked up a Roland SP303 sampler and pored over his vinyl. From this spot\, he has anchored the tempo for a myriad of the most legendary artists of all-time. It’s the place where he initially realized his destiny as a kid. It’s a tried-and-true safe harbor for the expression of his purest emotions. It’s a direct conduit to his late father and Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham. Following stints with Airrace and Virginia Wolf\, he handled drums on Jimmy Page’s gold-certified Outrider. During 1988\, he notably accompanied Page\, John Paul Jones\, and Robert Plant behind the kit for Led Zeppelin at the Atlantic Records 40th Anniversary Celebration Concert. Beyond helming solo projects such as Bonham and The Jason Bonham Band\, he appeared in Rock Star with Mark Wahlberg and Jennifer Anniston. Plus\, he lent his talents to Foreigner\, Little Steven\, Joe Bonamassa\, and Paul Rodgers. He held down the drums for Led Zeppelin’s 2007 reunion at the Ahmet Ertegun Tribute Concert—which set the Guinness World Record® for “Highest Demand for Tickets for One Music Concert.” The evening spawned the Celebration Day concert film and multiplatinum album\, debuting Top 10 on the Billboard 200\, selling three million-plus copies\, and garnering a GRAMMY®. Other notable projects have included Black Country Communion (Bonamassa\, Glenn Hughes\, and Derek Sherinian) and California Breed (Hughes and producer and guitarist Andrew Watt). He joined Sammy Hagar and the Circle with Van Halen’s Michael Anthony and Vic Johnson. Each adventure consists of a series of locations that you are guided to where you are required to answer a question or solve a puzzle to receive your next instruction. Compete as a group\, individually or create multiple teams and race each other. Almost all of our adventures are designed to be wheelchair and stroller friendly and all are carefully crafted to be entertaining and informative with something to appeal to all ages.
