Time for a Fort Worth Field Trip!

Modern Art Museum, Kimbell Art Museum, Sid Richardson Museum, Museum of Science & History in Fort Worth

Time for a field trip!  With all the stress of home-schooling, working from home, planning strategic trips to the grocery store and all this while practicing social distancing and  wearing masks when we do get out, we at What’s Up Fort Worth thought it was time for a virtual field trip through some of Fort Worth’s world class museums and galleries—The Kimbell Art Museum, The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, The Amon Carter Museum of American Art, and The William Campbell Contemporary Art Gallery…with bonus performing arts performances from The Fort Worth Symphony and The Fort Worth Opera.

Take a Field Trip to the Fort Worth Symphony’s Music Lab

Sit back and relax to the musical selections of our very own FWSO family. The virtual listening lab will provide weekly postings of archival recordings, curated playlists from FWSO’s very own members and more to continue keeping the music alive in your home, throughout the local community and beyond.

Enjoy The Fort Worth Opera in your Living Room

And if you are looking for an outing focused on Performance Arts, Fort Worth Opera will be hosting free YouTube Premieres and Facebook Watch Parties for families at home during the COVID-19 crisis. On April 16 and 18, they will present their recent world premiere children’s opera, Frida Kahlo and the Bravest Girl in the World, and on April 23 and 25, we will show the 20-minute pocket opera about love and marriage, Feel the Tango.  Check their website for specific links for these performances.
