The Fort Worth Stockyards is pleased to share two free and open-to-the-public events hosted by the American Paint Horse Association (APHA) taking place inside the Cowtown Coliseum. The two events include Breakaway Roping on August 1st and Barrel Racing on August 15th. As an added bonus, the Stockyards’ twice daily Cattle Drive will take place at 11:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on both weekends!

- The APHA “All Day Breakaway” roping competition will take place on Sunday, August 1st beginning at 9:00 a.m., at the Cowtown Coliseum. This APHA series is committed to the growth of the sport and spirit of competition, featuring hundreds of the finest riders in the region!
- On Sunday, August 15th beginning at 9:00 a.m., APHA will host “Bustin Out The Barrels” barrel racing at the Cowtown Coliseum where there is “no speed limit on Sunday in the Stockyards,” this event is a perfect way for families to spend their Sunday morning.
