Texas Ballet Theater (TBT) will present Artistic Director Laureate Ben Stevenson, O.B.E.’s The Nutcracker November 25 – December 4 at Winspear Opera House in Dallas and December 9-24 at Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth.

This family-friendly ballet features the classic Nutcracker story, festive choreography and elaborate sets to put patrons in the holiday spirit. The show also includes special effects to enhance the production, including snow falling on stage.

The company will perform eight times at Winspear Opera House before moving to Bass Performance Hall, where they will present an additional 19 performances.

Many of our dancers will dance multiple roles and some are stepping into new roles for the first time this year,” Acting Artistic Director Tim O’Keefe said. “It’s exciting to see dancers expand their repertoire and take on new opportunities and I know you’ll be able to see their excitement on stage.”

The nonprofit ballet company will also offer a pre-show Kingdom of Sweets activity area for children attending matinee performances on November 26 and December 3, 10 and 17. Activities include coloring, crafts, and themed items to take home. Kingdom of Sweets is sponsored by WFAA.

Tickets start at $25. Patrons can purchase tickets online at texasballettheater.org or call the Box Office Monday-Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, at 877-828-9200 option 1.
